Thanksgiving Media AdvisoryWHAT: 2000 people of all faiths are expected to attend a community Thanksgiving service at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, a tradition dating back almost 70 years. The service will be led by Jewish, Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, Hindu, Bahai and Unitarian Universalist leaders. There will be readings from the different faiths, and a Jewish cantor will sing. The sermon will be given by Rev. Teresa Cooley, minister of the First Unitarian Church of Chicago. The full Chicago Childrens Choir300 children, ages 5 through 14will also perform. WHEN:11 a.m. Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28 WHERE: Rockefeller Memorial Chapel at the University of Chicago, 5850 S. Woodlawn Ave. The Community Thanksgiving Service is co-sponsored by the Hyde Park Interfaith Council.
