Subject: Candlelight Vigil Today, 3:30pm
Dear University Students,
Early Monday morning, our fellow student Amadou Cisse was tragically killed. Student Government, the Muslim Students Association, and the African and Caribbean Students Association invite all students to join us for a candlelight vigil to remember the life of Amadou Cisse, which will be held today in the center of the main quad (rain location is the Kent Lobby) and will start at 3:30 pm.
This vigil will be a chance for all students to express their support for Amadou’s friends and family and share their memories of Amadou. A condolence book will also be available for students to share their thoughts with his family. On behalf of all students, I would like to offer my condolences to those affected by this tragic loss. Please know that you will be in our hearts and minds in the following weeks as we grieve the loss of our fellow student.
Please visit the SG website (http://sg.uchicago.edu) for more information about resources and other upcoming events.
