Education workshop looks at black white achievement gap

What: Workshop organized by the Committee on Education.

Who: Derek Neal, Chair, Department of Economics, University of Chicago, will present a paper "Why Has Black-White Skill Convergence Stopped?"

Discussants will be Susan Goldin-Meadow, Beardsley Ruml Distinguished Service Professor, Department of Psychology and Comparative Human Development, and Susan Levine, Professor, Department of Psychology, both at the University of Chicago.

The newly formed Committee on Education is dedicated to interdisciplinary scholarship in education and to building strong connections between researchers and practitioners working to improve urban schooling.
