University of Chicago students celebrate Earth Week with Environmental Center Open House
What/Who: Spring 2006 Open House of the University of Chicago’s Environmental Center, celebrating Earth Week and the redesign of the center by students in the Undergraduate College and the Environmental Studies Program. Refreshments will be served.
When: 4 - 6 p.m. Thursday, April 20
Where: Reynolds Club 5706 S. University Avenue, Room 002A
Background: Students hope the open house will reintroduce the University community to the resources available at the Environmental Center. All environmental groups on campus have access to the center, including the Green Campus Initiative, the Environmental Concerns Organization and the Green Awareness In Action group. In addition to hosting groups on campus, the Environmental Center has a library of environmental texts and information on environmental grants, internships and careers.
