The Shame of the Nation is based on firsthand reporting on the conditions of American schools in the wake of the dismantling of desegregation requirements and the emergence of high-stakes testing. The talk is sponsored by the Center for Urban School Improvement at the University of Chicago, Rockefeller Chapel, Seminary Co-op Books, and 57th Street Books. This talk is free and open to the public.
