Geoffrey R. Stone leads discussion on civil liberties after the election, Nov. 24
Please join the University of Chicago Graham School of General Studies for Civil Liberties in the United States after November 2, 2004, a lunchtime discussion of the meaning of the presidential election, and the state of freedom and American civil liberties. Geoffrey R. Stone, author of Perilous Times: Free Speech in Wartime, From the Sedition Act of 1798 to the War on Terrorism, editor of the Supreme Court Review, and law professor and former provost of the University of Chicago, will lead the discussion. The discussion will be held Wednesday, November 24th from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the Chicago Cultural Center, located at 78 E.
