Traffic advisory: Parking on University Avenue to be restricted Oct. 5-9
The University of Chicago will be a primary filming location for the screen adaptation of alumnus David Auburn's Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play Proof. Filming will occur on October 6-8 in various locations around campus, and some restrictions on access will occur.
Until Thursday, October 9th, no parking will be available on the following street portions: University Avenue between 59th Street and 57th Street, 59th Street between Woodlawn and Ellis, and Midway Plaisance Westbound between Woodlawn and Ellis.
Additionally, no vehicles will be allowed access to the Main Quad via 58th Street during daylight hours on October 6th and 7th, while the crew films in and near Harper Quad.
Pedestrian access to the following areas may be limited at various times throughout the day: Harper Quad, Rockefeller Chapel, Social Sciences Quad, Stuart Hall, and Swift Hall. You may be asked to take an alternate route in the vicinity of these areas, so please allow a few extra minutes when walking near them.
