Activist Tom Hayden to Speak at the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration

Who: Tom Hayden, a long-time civil rights and environmental activist, is a co-founder of Students for a Democratic Society and a member of the Chicago Seven, a group whose convictions were reversed on appeal after they were charged with disrupting the 1968 Democratic National Convention. He is also a former California state legislator.
What: A Lecture “Defending Democracy in the War on Terrorism” co-sponsored by the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration and the Center for Family Health.
When: 3 to 4:30 p.m., Friday, November 8
Where: School of Social Service Administration, Lobby, 969 E. 60th St.
