Six University of Chicago women's basketball players were chosen to the 2000-01 All-University Athletic Association Team, the conference announced today.

Senior Kealey Mayer (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) was selected to the All-UAA Second Team, while seniors Dana Allison (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland) and Anne Lippert (Mason, Ohio/Mason), sophomore Jaimie Bleck (Lebanon Township, N.J./Voorhees), and freshmen Angel Korer (Phoenix, Ariz./Chandler) and Paula Lepka (Freeport, Ill./Aquin Central Catholic) were honorable mention picks.

Mayer makes her first appearance on the All-UAA Team. She was Chicago's leading rebounder (5.1 rpg) and shot blocker (8) this season. She also was second in scoring with 9.9 points per game. Mayer started all 15 games in conference play and averaged 9.6 points and 4.7 rebounds.

Allison makes her second straight All-UAA appearance. Lippert, Bleck, Korer, and Lepka are all first-time All-UAA honorees. In her final season at Chicago, Allison started 23 of 24 games and led the Maroons with 103 assists and 37 steals. During UAA play, she averaged 7.8 points and 4.9 assists.

Lippert led the team in scoring (10.0 ppg) and rebounding (5.5 rpg) during UAA play. On the season, she started all 24 games and averaged 9.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per contest.

Bleck played in all 24 games. On Feb. 4, against UAA champion New York University, she scored 13 points on 3-of-3 shooting from the floor and 7-of-9 from the foul line.

In her debut season, Korer led the team in field goal percentage (.496) and free throw percentage (.857). During UAA play, she averaged 8.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

Lepka was the Maroons' leading scorer on the year with 10.2 points per game. In UAA play, she was third on the team in scoring (9.1) and second in rebounding (5.1).

Chicago finished the season with a record of 15-9, including a 7-8 mark in UAA play. The 15 wins were the most by the Maroons since they finished 19-7 back in 1994-95.
