Students at University of Chicago start Scavenger Hunt 2007

AP

- Students from the University of Chicago are off on a multi-state scavenger hunt early this morning.

The four-day event sends teams of students hunting for obscure items in eight different states.

The list includes encrypted clues, riddles and items that seem impossible to get.

Last year's list called for an actual Nobel Prize. And teams had to answer the question: "According to part 31 of the audio tour in the Museum of Earth History, how did kangaroos get to Australia?"

Rules for the scavenger hunt are strict and each item must be obtained legally.

Teams will be judged on their efforts on Sunday on the university's campus.
