May 4, 2007 CHICAGO - A Chicago couple is donating 35 (M) million dollars to the University of Chicago for a new interdisciplinary arts center.
David and Reva Logan are long-time philanthropists who run a Chicago-based foundation.
Their gift supports a 100 (M) million dollar visual and performing arts center.
University officials say the 180-thousand square foot center will be completed by 2011. It will include a 350-seat theater, gallery and film screening room.
The center will be named after the Logans.
David Logan is an alumnus of the university and its law school.
He and his wife run the Reva and David Logan Foundation which promotes education, social change and the arts.
